This painting reflects on Michael Jordan as both an athlete and a personal inspiration. He symbolizes determination, discipline, and the pursuit of excellence. Inspired by growing up in the 1980s and 1990s, the work captures the intensity of the rivalry between the Chicago Bulls and the Detroit Pistons, often referred to as the “Bad Boys.”

The composition focuses on Jordan in full color, representing his rise and breakthrough as he overcame one of his greatest challenges. In contrast, the Pistons fade into the background, less saturated, emphasizing the shift in dominance. The bold use of Chicago Bulls red, along with purples and blues in the face, adds energy and depth to the piece.

This was a passion project for me. It brought back a lot of nostalgia from growing up with basketball and revisiting something that has been important to me for a long time.
